Enabling crew influence over their rosters via the Crewpal webapp.
Delivering lifestyle choice options to crew members within their rosters is a challenge faced by every airline. Many software providers offer different approaches to solving this problem.
At Motulus, we address this through our bidding application, Crewpal (also know as Crewplus). Crewpal enables crew members to submit requests and preferences, which are then considered during the roster production period. The system works to maximise the number of awarded requests while maintaining operational requirements.
The award methodology can be tailored to each airline’s policies. For example, allocations can be based on seniority, a credit or wallet system assigned to each crew member, or priority rankings defined individually by the crew member.
Crewpal supports both specific monthly requests — such as time off — and broader lifestyle preferences. For instance, crew members can indicate preferences such as early starts, night-stops, or other general working patterns. By combining requests and preferences within one intuitive platform, Crewpal empowers crew members to actively influence their rosters while ensuring fairness and transparency in the allocation process.
